The existing registration flow presented users with a long, single-step form, making it difficult to understand what information was required, what would happen next, and how much they would eventually pay.

I redesigned the experience as a structured three-step flow, separating essential registration details, optional event services, and payment into clear stages.

The goal was simple: make the registration process easier to understand, easier to navigate, and more transparent from start to finish.

A long form with too many unknowns

The existing experience combined personal information, additional details, pricing, and submission into one long form.

The payment information was easy to overlook, while the next step after submitting the form was unclear.

This created several questions throughout the journey:

• What information do I need to provide?

• What happens after I submit the form?

• When and how do I pay?

• How much will I pay in total?

Turning one overwhelming form into a guided flow

I restructured the registration experience into three focused steps:

Personal information

Essential personal, contact, and additional information needed for registration.

Optional services

Users can add services such as hotel accommodation, transportation, or event merchandise. These options are clearly marked as optional, so they can complete registration without selecting any extras.

Payment

A dedicated payment step keeps card details separate from the rest of the registration process and lets users review their choices before completing the payment.

Alongside the form, I introduced a persistent right-hand panel containing key event details and an order summary. This gives users constant visibility into the event information and their current total throughout the flow.

As users add or remove optional services, the order summary updates accordingly, keeping the final price transparent at every step.
